How can I send mail to my weasel?
You can send mail following this example:

Resident Name
[Room #]

Letters and small items are delivered directly to your weasel’s mailbox in the hall. For larger packages, they’ll get it delivered to their door.

Whether it’s their birthday, a tough exam week, or just a little reminder that you’re thinking of them, there are plenty of ways to brighten your weasel’s day from home 💜
Want to send your weasel a surprise?
Send a sweet treat. Notre Dame offers a campus dessert delivery service that brings cakes, cookies, and other baked goods right to the residence halls. It’s an easy and delicious way to celebrate from afar.
Flowers? The on-campus flower shop delivers directly to students — a lovely gesture for any occasion or just because.

Care packages: You’re welcome to put together your own and mail it to PDub, or you can order one of the University’s Exam Care Packages — they’re especially appreciated during midterms and finals.

Is my weasel safe?
At Notre Dame, your student’s safety is a top priority — and the University has several dedicated services in place to help keep our community secure 24/7.
Notre Dame Police Department (NDPD):
Notre Dame has its own professional police force that operates around the clock to maintain a safe campus environment. Officers regularly patrol all areas of campus, including residence halls at night. NDPD can be reached at any time at (574) 631-5555, and their website offers additional resources and safety tips.
Notre Dame Fire Department (NDFD):
Yes, we even have our own fire department! The NDFD is always on standby in case of emergencies and conducts regular fire drills in the residence halls to ensure everyone knows what to do in the event of an emergency. Visit their website to learn more about their services.
Pro tip: We recommend that all weasels download
ND Safe — it’s ND's free app to access multiple resources for personal safety all in one place, including one-button calls to Notre Dame Emergency Dispatch, St. Joseph County 911, and non-emergency assistance.

Pdub Family Weekend

Many residence halls host a Family Weekend during the academic year — a chance for loved ones to visit campus, explore the dorm, and soak up the ND spirit (often during a football weekend!). Details are shared through our social media and email updates, so stay tuned!
This University-sponsored tradition invites parents and guardians of juniors to campus for a weekend packed with special events, meals, and celebrations. For more info, check out the JPW website.
